Christmas - 2013

Hello there!

So long time no blog, hey? Well MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone (for last Wednesday)! I hope you all had the best Christmas of your life, or at least so far. Personally I had an amazing Christmas at home with my family. The weather was beautiful and the day couldn't have gone anymore perfect. Now I sit here wishing to document it for you readers, all 9 of you! I'm not the greatest writer as you can probably tell from previous post's so instead of rambling on here is a load of photos! Including some explanations, aha. Enjoy~

Of course the day started with the usual present opening ceremony - where my dad decides to bring out his 20 year old video (tape) recorder, and films everyone but himself.  It's tradition and just telling you about it makes me smile! It has been done every Christmas (and birthday) of my life. This year I received from 'Santa' a keyboard! I cannot wait to learn how to play the piano; I've wanted to learn for years. This year I was very spoilt and I am super grateful. Along with the keyboard I received some jewellery, Katy Perry CD and One Direction, This Is Us. (If you want reviews, just ask!). Also my gifts to others were greatly received - especially my dad, he loves the shirts I bought him. Yippee!

Just a few snaps to show you what I wore. and my smile for proof I enjoyed the day.

The whole day, from start to finish was just amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed every second. I won't go into every single detail - but I have lots of special memories from this Christmas. Oh and not to mention we had a traditional turkey dinner like always.

Bye guys - Merry Christmas and a happy new year to everyone reading this!!

Love Dani. x

It's the Season

Hello!

It is that wonderful time of the year. Christmas time! I absolutely adore Christmas, the lead up to it, the decorations, just every single detail. As well as the food. It all makes me so happy to be alive. Here in New Zealand (as well as the whole Southern hemisphere!) Christmas is a bit different. Guess what, it's also summer time. Generally Christmas is spent in the sunshine. A stark contrast to other countries in the world - after all Christmas is associated with snow, warm snugly clothes, hot drinks and infamous fireplaces. But no here it has to be 25 degree's out. Oh I'd love a winter Christmas, much more 'traditional', maybe someday, UK are you ready?

Over anything though I love my summer Christmas's. After all it is what I've come to know my whole life. It makes me feel special and privileged. Which I am extremely thankful for. I'll hopefully do some Christmas posts in the next few weeks because why not! There will also be some exciting summer post's too. I can't wait to share my summer holiday experiences with you.

Zoo Day

So a few weeks back (as in over a month sorry, I've been busy!)  my cute family and I went to the zoo together! It was such a nice day to go. I enjoyed it so much because I haven't been in years. I'm assuming you all know what a zoo is? Exactly, no explanation needed. Although I suppose you could say all zoo's are the same, Wellington zoo seems special and of course awesome! Personally I think it strays away from the conventional zoo, or maybe that's just me talking. I'll share with you some of the lovely highlights of the trip! This post will be much more interesting with photos so it will be very photo heavy. But those kinds of post's are always the best, right?

The giraffes were definitely my favourite - they were so friendly and came up so close to us. I even managed a cheeky selfie with one!

Just a few other highlights; a yummy chocolate milkshake, what I wore - a cute lil' blouse with a peter pan collar and shorts.

I also really enjoyed seeing the lions. They were beautiful! I adore cats so I adored these big cats. Who knows, maybe it's my South African showing through.

Finally I've gotten around to this post! I hope you all enjoyed the photos, I edited em' all nice for you.

Friday 8 November 2013

Hello!

Hi everyone! Just a short post with a difficult question to ask! Should I keep my original header or use this new one. What do ya'll think?

My current one.

New one? Yeah or Nah?

Leave a comment. Thanks! Dani. xx

Part two: Best Night of My Life

((Read, part one here))

Before the concert we bought some merchandise. Well I bought quite a bit actually, a shirt, wristband, tour programme, and my friends mum was very kind and bought me some 'signed' photographs and a keyring. It was cool being able to purchase all of these hours before the concert so we didn't have to rush to the merch stand afterwards!

CBS Canterbury arena, Christchurch.
All of a sudden it was time for the concert or at least to arrive at the venue. The line was extremely long and there were literally thousands of girls everywhere. It was in all honesty a bit scary. Luckily there wasn't much pushing because everyone had guaranteed seats. Waiting outside for the doors to open was chilled out but there was still a buzzing atmosphere. At one point it started raining, and it was awesome because there was such a pretty glow and a rainbow in the sky. It made me smile and the crowd seemed to be in good spirits.
My friend Olivia (left) and I (right). This is what I wore
to the concert. Factorie dress, NZ$40.

Me (left) and Olivia (right) all dolled up!
I won't go into detail about everything that happened at the concert, I'd hate to bore you all. But I will tell you how amazing it was. We had really great seats (the photo's don't give them justice) and my friend and I could see them so well! At one point Harry totally waved at me. Maybe not, but he waved in my direction.

The concert was beyond my expectations. The whole thing start to finish was incredible. Their support act Five Seconds Of Summer did so well too. The 1D boys are so talented and I am so proud of them. 2 years and I saw them, I have a giant grin on my fave right now just thinking about it. Being only 16 I haven't had many memorable experiences but it was in no doubt the best night of my life. I've seen them live, it's so cool to be able to say that. Here's a few pictures;

After not receiving tickets when they came here last year just made me appreciate it more. I'd like to say it was a life changing experience, it wasn't. Although I saw my five favourite singers in the whole world and it meant and still means a lot to me. Every time I hear any of their songs I smile because I experienced it.

It was so much fun! The trip and the concert. I'll never forget it. I'm so glad to be apart of this fandom. Everyone united. The lads sang their hearts out for the fans. I am absolutely so proud of One Direction and I wish them so much more successes because they deserve it all. Making millions of people happy is really something.

Love life, Dani. xx

One Direction Concert Part One: The trip

Well, well. Here I am. I am back! I know it's taken me week's to finally write this post, I apologise, but emotions have taken over. Oh and that thing that takes up all my time; school. Anyway, how is everyone? I am very good right now, I'll let you know the reason!

Where do I start? If anyone actually read my previous One Direction concert build up posts you've probably figured out what this is about (if you read the title as well), well done! If you haven't this post is all about the  trip leading up to the best night of my life; THE ONE DIRECTION CONCERT. Brace yourselves this may be a very long post. It may contain a stream of emotions. If you are bored you'll have to wait for the next post which will be 100% concert, I promise!

Starting from the very beginning.. The journey there was so enthralling I'll let you know how it went. The day before the concert we had to travel to Blenheim. The place where we stayed. We as in my friend, her family and I. Our mode of transport was the cook strait ferry, the blue bridge one (the staff were really nice!). For those of you that don't know what that is it is a boat that travels between New Zealand's North and South island. We couldn't have picked a worse day to travel it. It was stormy and obviously the sea was very rough. I can't even begin to describe the feeling, it was simply awful. It was like going up in an elevator, y'all know that feeling? Well imagine it over and over again! Luckily I was okay and wasn't sea sick. It was more just anxiety because it was scary to say the least. The size of the waves were incredible, I thought we were going to be swallowed up. It has really made it clear about how violent and vast the ocean is. An experience that I won't forget, even though I'd like to. To be fair the trip back was actually very pleasant. It was sunny and we sailed smoothly! Which was lovely because we had a nice view.

Look at how poop the weather was when we left!
The Sounds! Look how pretty they were on the trip back.
Picton on the trip back!

After having a good nights sleep we awoke to excitement. My friend Olivia turned to me and said "Concert Day!". I nearly died. I couldn't believe it, I'd waited so long and the day had finally arrived. After having a rough start (literally) we were hoping for the best.  A bit of unlucky always brings luck? Well I'd like to think so. Although it did take us four hours to get to Christchurch. There's not much to write about the drive there and siteseeing in Christchurch so que photos! It was hearbreaking seeing the damage in the cbd from the earthquake. The cathedral was shocking (last photo). It's so much more surreal when you're standing right there and not looking at it on t.v.

I've decided to do this post for the trip and then another one for the actual concert (and post concert emotions), which will be up soon! Thanks for being lovely and keep a look out for my next few posts. I have a few exciting ones lined up.

Liebster Award

I have been nominated by the lovely Shirley from Wonder Canyon for the Liebster award. You get asked 10 questions, then make your own and pass it onto 10 more people. It's aim is to help people with less that 200 followers gain more advertising and readers. Hopefully my readers will get to know me that little bit better.

Rules;
1) The tagged/nominated blog must have less than 200 followers
2) Mention the person/blog that tagged/nominated you
3) Let the person/blog you nominate know that you tagged them!

1) What is your favourite childhood memory? Personally I don't have a specific favourite childhood memory. Although I do have a favourite place where I had lots of happy memories. My grandparents used to own a nice little farm, very rural and it was such a beautiful place. It was in South Africa. I hold many amazing memories to this place. If there is anywhere in the world I'd want to be on any given day, it would be there.

2) Who is your favourite person to watch on YouTube? I have lots of favourite I even wrote a blog post on it! Read it here.

3) Describe your dream job. I haven't decided on a job yet, let alone having a 'dream job'. I suppose it would be anything to do with helping people, being creative. It has to be something I enjoy.

4) When did you put up your first blog post? Oh gosh, I've only just started this blog. My first post was only in May of this year!

5) If you could have a superpower just for today, what would it be? I'd probably want to be invisible. You wouldn't have to worry about the way you're dressed or if you hair looks OK, you could just explore the world freely without being judged. Oh and you could mess with people for fun, ehehe.

6) What is the most creative thing you've done recently? I tried to literally draw a header for this blog, it turned out OK, maybe I should share it with you all. Hmm, it still needs a bit of work.

7) Where do you live? Kia OraA place called New Zealand. Wellington to be precise, in all honesty it's a bit boring.

8) What is your favourite thing to do on a Sunday morning? Sleep in, or if its nice weather catch a bit of sunshine.

9) What is the best part of your life right now? The fact I am seeing One Direction in two days!!

10) What is your favourite quote? I love lots of quotes, no one in particular. I just chose this by random from my laptop. It's really uplifting! Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter used it an a blog post once, which I thoroughly enjoyed!

Golly Gosh I have no idea how to nominate people. I'm just going to put a certain one out there, my chummy Shannon, http://shannon-fitzgerald.blogspot.co.nz/, I nominate you.

Also if anyone wants to read this and hasn't been nominated before, let me know in the comments and feel free to take my questions and out it in a post anyway! I'd love to read answers to them.

Here are the questions:
1) What made you decide to start a blog?
2) What country and city do you live in?
3) Name your 5 favourite things about your country and/or city
4) Describe your style.
5) Post a selfie!
6) What is the best thing about your life right now?
7) What's one thing you are really looking forward to?
8) If you could be any age, younger or older than you are now, for a day, what age would you be?
9) What is your favourite season?
10) Dream job?

You've got that One Thing

Hello! Continuing on with my One Direction posts, you can read my first one here

Within no time at all they were gone, out of the country. I felt like I'd missed my chance. 2012 was a really difficult year for me, I won't go into any detail though. They were there for me when no one else was, that's how it felt anyway. I remember being upset and home alone feeling so bad and I'd put on Up All Night and it would make me so much happier. I didn't understand why I'd become such a big fan, it was really unlike me and unexpected, but I needed them, for reasons that others don't know. They're more than just what meets the eye, they're not just five lads in a boy band, they're legends.

I've followed them (not literally), tracked them, tweeted them and bought merchandise since. Two years later, 500 + days after receiving tickets for their October 10th concert and I am still waiting. 6 days away. It feels so surreal. They're real people and I am going to see them. To describe how excited I am would be like describing what air looks like. Exactly. There is so much to organise as well. This roller coaster is hitting its peak!!

Of course I will be writing a nice lil', its actually probably going to be very long, post about the concert! So make sure you look out for that.

That's it I suppose. Hopefully that was relateable or somewhat of an insight into a Directioner's mind. Believe it or not I actually refined this post a lot. I would've rambled on way more. I'll try not to write about One Direction too much in future. This is still a lifestyle blog, I'll blog what I want to.

One Direction and I

Dear bloggersphere,

I have a confession, well not exactly. It's just something I have never shared here on Dani Darling. Don't be alarmed though! Some may enjoy what I will type about, sadly some will not.. but for me to become a better blogger and more engaged with audiences this is a must share. I am, well, a Directioner.

Where do I start? In the summer of 2012, (in New Zealand we have summer over Christmas, so it was 2011, close to 2012), I kept seeing these same five boys on tumblr. At the start of it all it wasn't branding, or popularity, or how handsome they were (and still are! Sorry I had to) that made me want to know more. It was their genuine caring towards fans and of course their amazing talent. It's crazy when you look back and realise how quickly you can fall for something when it brings you joy.

What Makes you Beautiful was of course the first song I heard. Happiness; that's what that song meant to me right from the beginning. I had totally fallen for them, watched every single video I could find of them, trust me it was never supposed to become this. Just a fan, I use to think. Soon I became extremely dedicated and obsessed.

I'm able to clearly remember purchasing Up All Night after getting an iTunes card that Christmas. I had it on repeat the last evening of 2011. That night was the moment that I realised, no they aren't just photos or interviews online, but extremely talented. From that evening I'd become and happily what I wanted to be a full on Directioner. I hardcore fell for Niall, at one stage he was literally all I could talk about. Now it's different though, suppose it would be after all this time, but I'll write about that later.

1D in NZ 2012

It spiralled out of control so quickly, and I LOVED it! The coolest thing was that my friend Olivia and I found out about and started liking them at the same time. It was and still is a roller coaster; we are going through it together. One Direction came here in April 2012. Olivia and I missed out on tickets. They sold out in seconds. It was really strange because I was literally in so much mental pain. It's hard to explain, imagine loving something so much that when you get that rare chance you try to grab it but you miss. Leading up to it, I kind of expected to get tickets so I was crushed. Anyway, after entering a million competitions we didn't win tickets. If my memory is correct, it was April 22nd, which was really only 4 months into liking them, but boy did those months feel like forever. On the day they came to Wellington. It was a Sunday.. Olivia and I spent hours outside their hotel waiting for the briefest glimpse, but it never came. That was the closest I have ever been to One Direction.

So this is part one of my One Direction posts, there will be another one in a weeks time.

Hope y'all enjoyed, bit of an emotional post but I liked writing it. Feeling a bit nostalgic!

What fandom's are my readers in?

Wonderful Wednesday!

Hello all and hello to another Wednesday. Lets make this one wonderful!

Finally after these 16 years of  mere consciousness I have learnt that nothing lasts forever. Chapters come and go. But right now I feel 'stuck', oh how I shudder at that word. School will end and so will this year but that hasn't been giving me much comfort. It's been this way for a while actually. Wish I could just enjoy life, including school..  but it is really not that easy. School cannot change I have to change my attitude. This is consistent to life, don't like something? Change it (other than yourself of course). Don't like the way you feel about something (cough, negative thoughts)? Change your mind.

And that's exactly what I am going to do! I am not assuming that everyone reading this dislikes school as I do, but I'm sure everyone has felt this feeling - Stuck because something is keeping you that way.

This quote right here, I am not sure where I found it on this vast Internet, but I did or maybe it found me, and here in this blog post I am trying to prove a point. To encourage myself to 'let things go' while hoping that someone will enjoy reading this drawl.

Maybe its time to stop dwelling on waking up in the morning. Maybe it's time to embrace it. I am at a very important chapter (there I go again being all philosophical) in my life so it is time to be positive. I believe it is necessary to let go of all this negativity - it's become too heavy to lug around.

Love Dani Darling! x

p.s Sorry this was alot of 'I's. In my next post it'll be more about others. :)

Winter Favourites

It is always interesting reading or watching other peoples 'favourites'. Here is my first 'favourites' post for the Winter that has past. Finally we are in Spring, suprisingly because it's still so cold.. I know all around the world people are going into Autumn and Winter, so hopefully I can inspire them to try some new things. I'd really like that.

Winter Favourites!
1. BB CREAM - it has been reviewed millions of times; I've tried and tested it
and in my opinion it is perfect. I suppose its fairly affordable too! My Maybelline BB cream, I’ve been using since the beginning of Winter, is definitely right at the top of my list. Moisturising - it kept my skin healthy for the long run. Using it everyday I found that it did more than just cover up like foundation, it moisturised and protected. It will continue to be my everyday go to.  :)

2. PALE MINT GREEN WALLS - A few months back I painted my room from a lavender to a pale green as shown. I honestly love it. It is calming and it makes me feel some what more mature. I have had purple walls all my life, in every single room I have ever lived in, so it’s a nice and welcomed change!

3. VAMPIRE DIARIES - Its more of an overall 2013 favourite but I love the show so much. I only started watching Vampire Diaries this year. Though even in this short time I have become obsessed; cannot wait for Season 5!!

4. BOOTS - Personally I think a pair of boots in Winter are so cute. Mine were only bought recently so I haven't actually been wearing them all season! I will still be wearing them throughout Spring and beyond. Oh, and the photo does not do them (the pair; no I didn't just buy the one boot identified in the photo) justice!

5. DANI DARLING BLOG - Why yes, I have enjoyed working on this blog over these colder months. When its freezing outside I've liked to plan and write posts! Luckily Spring and Summer are soon so I'll be getting out more.. which will bring new prospects and exciting new blog posts!

6. COFFEE - The photo stands for itself.. I have become extremely addicted to coffee lately. Its so nice to grab a book in Winter with a nice warm cuppa.

7. ¾ ZEBRA PATTERNED SHIRT - Again the picture says it all. This top is cute and quirky. It was perfect for the casual days this Winter.

8. THE FAULT IN OUR STARS - My favourite book that I read this Winter was The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. Beautifully tragic. Catch my review here

Love Dani. x

PS. Do ya'll like my new blog header?

Bloggers Block

Recently I've been competing with myself to front up with a great new blog post idea. I've had no inspiration and it feels horrible. Bloggers block is certainly a thing! So here is me having no inspiration to write a post, while writing a post about it. Hmm, I guess that makes sense.

Certainly I am not the best writer. Although I must admit I enjoy writing for this blog. Putting words together, re-arranging, to throw across beautiful messages to readers, even though there are only a few of you, I really do get a buzz from it. If over the course of this only one person reads my scrambles and enjoys it, it'll still be worth it, obviously! If I can make someone else think, "hey I can do that", "Yeah I want to see that and try that" through this blog then I'll be amazed.

Don't jump to any conclusions now, there are definitely exciting things to come. They just take a bit more planning and doing than just typing away my thoughts. They will involve good quality pictures and my amazing chummy! Of course a blog post to look forward to.

Have you ever experienced bloggers block? Although I am only starting, with a total of 13 blog posts to date, I am feeling stuck. Any advice?

Took me by suprise.. An Earthquake!

So a couple of weeks back in July, here in Wellington New Zealand we had a few Earthquakes! Eventually it all settled down. Life went about normally or at least until now; we've just had another reasonably large one on Friday 16th of August. I'd like to share my lil' story and my thoughts about the emotions that come with such an event.

It measured 6.6 and happened at 2:31 NZ time. (Keep reading, I promise its not an essay on Earthquakes and how they happen!) I was actually at school on the second story of an older building when it hit. It's hard to put into words how scary it was. I've never experienced anything like it. Everyone was screaming and I just recall diving under the desk while the building swayed violently from side to side! It lastest quite long aswell!

Its still kind of a blur, though I do remember many aftershocks following and they are still continuing! It was honestly my worst nightmare for one to hit when I was at school. Guess my nightmare came true! Its horrible when you experience one in a larger building and away from your house and family. Oh to make it worse the phone lines weren't working because of an overload, meh. Last time a big Earthquake hit it was a Sunday and my whole family and I were at home, which was much less scarier!

Anyways, enough with the dwelling! I survived and so did my house, family and friends. No buildings in Wellington collapsed and no one was killed. It really gets me thinking though about how fortunate I am. Its taught me to appreciate everything thing, big or small. How lucky I am to be getting a good education (even though I don't really like school, aha), to have a beautiful family and friends and even to be here, alive. Anything could happen unexpectedly just like this Earthquake and your world could be turned upside down just like that! Never take things for granted lovelies.

Enjoy and hold on tight to your own journey because you only get one life to live.

Reflecting on July

The month of July has come and gone. It just flew by, I'm sure many of you can relate. This is going to be a sort of 'reflection' post about it. I hope you enjoy the read.

Well where do I begin. Sorry this is going to sound very negative (but I promise there will be a positive outcome later in this post) my month of July was boring. I literally did not do anything, so sadly I have nothing exciting to share with you! I went to school, I was upset about my results, I went on school holidays for 2 weeks and did bugger all. The highlight of my July was definitely going to the cinemas to see Despicable Me 2; which was absolutely adorable, I highly recommend it!

Now that the definition of my life has been thrown into the depths of the Internet, how about some positivity? Yeah! Personally I am constantly learning from my past; I think its also a typical trait of teenagers, we really are learning day by day. Out of looking back at July, I really want to accomplish bigger and brighter things this August. I may even have to annoy my 5 followers with more motivational posts, sorry guys. On my first motavational post I found it was quite a boost to write it.
.

A big thing for me, especially in the next few weeks, I really need to be motivated to study! I have practice exams which could end up being extremely important. But even with all the studying, I still want to have a life, and enjoy living!! So here is my brighter and positive attitude. I truely believe that if you are positive, good things will come.

Love Dani! x

Feel free to comment as well, I'd love to know how your July was!

Review and Recommendation: Breakfast at Tiffany's

Recently I rented out (thanks to my sister for the idea) Breakfast at Tiffany's! It was such a cute and quirky movie. Personally I really enjoyed it. I love 'older' movies. This movie was made in 1961, so I geuss you could say its vintage. There were no cell phones or internet, shock horror! This element made it interesting; to see what life was like in the 60's.

Beautiful actress Audrey Hepburn play's the lead 'Holly' and she contributes so much charm and fun to the film. I fully reccommend it to anyone who likes older films with quirky characters and sweet love stories of course!

Audrey playing 'Holly'. She is a stunner!

Credit to people from tumblr for the photos, find more here, in the tumblr tag!

Love Dani! x

p.s RIP Audrey, you were beautiful and I respect you alot.

Spontaneously Motivational

Wow, what a title! I just had a sudden idea (probably out of school holiday boredom) to write a 'motivation' post. I have decided to keep it strictly spontaneous because I do not want to constrict myself to regular motivational days, unless anyone is out there that will actually enjoy or benefit from this, besides me.

So I've spent the last 20 minutes or so searching my laptop for a special motivational quote that I've acquired. Hopefully it will inspire and relate to you. With that said here is my favourite one right now (I am always keen for more!) and why it is my favourite of course!

  "Anyone can hide. Facing up
to things, working through them, that's
what makes you strong."

This quote is so clear and relevant. There have been and will be many times when things get too tough and you don't know where to turn. Personally in the last two years I have had to face pretty terrifying things that I most certainly wanted to run away from. Imagine if we could run away or run back in time to when we had the innocence of a child, what I wouldn't do for that.

In all seriousness its a part of life, cliche and all. The best approach to scary situations is to face them head on; it will make you such a stronger person. Don't get caught up in the cycle of running away from your problems (not literally of course, unless running helps relieve stress, like me, then go for it), because I promise the sun will shine on you and you will be happy again!

We aren't all perfect. By working through things you will achieve a lot. This is my challenge and hopefully we will all prevail in our own lives! Feel free to comment what you think about my motivational quote. I'd love to read your thoughts about it!

Love Dani! x

Wreck This Journal!

Today I thought I'd share a few of my favourite pages of my own 'Wreck this journal' by Keri Smith, given to me by my best friend, "thanks gurl". For those of you who don't know what a WTJ is it is like a diary but with a twist. Its drawn, the point is to destroy it and be creative in doing soEach page has an instruction which the owner has to complete. It is super enjoyable and a must for anyone creative!

The front of my journal!

STRENGTH

This page is quite personal and one of the very first pages I completed. Having strength in your mind and life is very important and I thought it was a good message amongst the odd pages of my WTJ.

Just a colourful, bright page!

You probably can't tell
from the picture but this page is actually quite
textured and 'ripped'. Its colourful and aztec. I think its quite cool!

Stain log, I made it a make-up log.

I thought I'd break out of the box and create a make-up stain log. There are a few gaps which I will 'stain' with various nail polish colours.

A colourful intro page!
The very first page in the book. I tried to fill it with random things to add curiousity!

Handprints and fingerprints!

Deffinitely one of my favourites. I really like the bees which are fingerprints and the 'flower' which is a handprint. I think I fulfilled the page's purpose very well and I had fun creating it!

As you can see, my WTJ has a major theme of being COLOURFUL

Do any of you have a Wreck This Journal? I'd love to hear from you. Also if you wanna see more of mine just leave a comment!

 Love Dani Darling. x

P.S sorry for the awful quality of photos. I took them at night time, silly me. If I manage to get better pictures, which I may try to, so I can make this post sharp, I'll just update it! Thanks for reading.

Youtubers!

Over the past year I have become extremely obsessed with youtubers, especially the British ones.
There are some amazing people out there. I applaud them for their courage, not many people can sit infront of a camera so casually and invite the world in. I wish I could do it, but I just don't have the 'talent'.
I want to thank these people for their entertainment. So here it is, a blog post dedicated to them! Heres to my favourite youtubers!

My IDK I JUST LOVE BRITISH YOUTUBERS shirt, previewed in a earlier post.

It all started with one youtuber in particular... Jacksgap! Jack and his brother Finn (the Harries twins) are my definition of perfect. They are just two British lads who like a good laugh and make awesome videos! I love watching their videos because they are always so creative! At first I kept watching their videos over and over, and I have a feeling alot of you will too. So if you have never watched any of their videos, go do it now!  http://www.youtube.com/user/JacksGap

Finn and Jack!

Probably my absolute favourite youtuber is Zoe Sugg, or also known as Zoella! I have personally learnt so much from her videos, make-up and clothes wise.

The first video of Zoella's that I watched, I don't know why but it caught my eye; it was a video about panic attacks, how to deal with them and how she suffers aswell. It is really knowlegeble and I learnt alot from it.  Check it out here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-iNOFD27G4

Zoe always has a smile on her face and is so genuinely lovely. I really do admire her, and her friendship with sprinkleofglitter, Louise, is the cutest thing! She deffinetly is my favourite youtuber (which was really hard to pick, so only just), because I can relate to her. Being relatable is really key in running a youtube channel (or even a blog). I am very into clothes, products, make-up and so is she, which is nice. Did I mention that she has an incredible fashion sense? She is the example of the best friend or sister that I've always wanted. Heres a link to her channel if any of you are interested;

Zoe!

For my third youtuber (I was trying to keep this post to three), I couldn't decide wether to write about Marcus Butler or Alfie Deyes.  Since they are equally awesome, I feel I have write about both!

Marcus (from marcusbutlertv) is such a sweetheart. I adore his videos. He can make a complete egg of himself all for his subscribers. He's definitely my top 'funny' youtuber. I've probably laughed during his videos more than I have for any other youtuber. If any of you are interested, heres a link: http://www.youtube.com/user/MarcusButlerTV

Marcus Butt butt!

Last but not least, Alfie Deyes from pointlessblog! Alfie is actually adorable, his name is also really cute! Its hard to describe the type of videos he creates, all I can say is that they are awesome and very entertaining! Heres a link to his channel; http://www.youtube.com/user/PointlessBlog

Alfie!

I would have liked to write more about Alfie, but its nearlly 12am and I am a wee bit tired! So anyone reading this who doesn't know of Alfie go watch his videos!!

So those were my top 3 (well 4) youtubers, who all happen to be British with perfect accents. I also watch many more youtubers, including Sprinkle of Glitter (Louise, special shout out to her cute baby Darcy!), Tanya Burr, Sam Pepper, Caspar Lee, occasionally Jim Chapman, Tyler Oakley and Thatcher Joe (Joe Sugg), plus a few more that I am struggling to think of. If you want me to write about or watch any other youtubers, please leave me a comment.

Perfection!

I shall leave you with a very difficult question..   who is your favourite youtuber?

The Fault In Our Stars

I read 'The Fault In Our Stars' by John Green a few weeks ago and have been waiting patiently to write a post about it. My first 'Review' type post...

To be fair I am not much of a reader but I have to say it is best book I've ever read. It's beautifully tragic but I loved it. I cried so much while reading it! Even though it had alot of sad bits, due to it being based around Hazel Grace, a cancer patient, it is so worth reading. Main charecters Augustus and Hazel were just perfect for eachother and the ending just broke my heart. It is an epic love story. I really recommend it!

Along with all the sad bits and the cute stuff between Gus and Hazel, the book really questions alot of things that most people are too scared to ask. I'll let you read it to figure out what!! It made me think alot which is what I like in a book. If the themes and ideas are to obvious its just not fun to read. It was interesting and I learnt alot from it. I'll probably read it again soon! Maybe I'll even enjoy it more next time.

I'd attatch a photo with this post (because photos always make posts look better), but I lent it to someone and they haven't given it back yet. But thats ok!

Now I have made it my mission to read more of John Green's books! Anyone know which one I should read next?

Just a little update!

Just a quick hello! So hello to my four readers! (Yes, four of you, ahh, thank you!)

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a few weeks. Yes; I shall make an excuse, "I've been really busy". Okay I have not.. I live a pretty chilled life and I am not a very social person. So just before I start rambling on, the things shared (like me being not a social person), and personal things I shall share over the course of having this blog, I share it in confidence. Thus being said, hopefully I will gain the respect of you all by sharing certain pieces of my life.

If anyones out there reading my blog, there are lots of awesome (hopefully they will be) posts coming up this month! Already I have drafted some and I am patiently waiting for a few things to come together... It is really exciting to share what I have to offer you all. The next few posts, I feel, will hopefully be what gives my blog its foundations. If you get what I mean? I have carefully planned a few of them including a post on an amazing book, youtubers that I like and hopefully an outfit of the week post. (And of course more)! This month is really about getting my blog up and running! What a cliche way of putting it.. woops.

Anyways, I hope all of you have a lovely day and an amazing July, thanks for reading.

Winter

Oh yes its winter, which means cute beanies! I've got a bright pink one, which I paired with a dress that has cat sillouettes on it. :)

Straightened hair, yay!

I like winter because the trees change. Right now they are red and orange, very Autumn and very pretty. Its nice when it rains and you can sit inside next to the heater. On a winters day I like to have a cup of coffee and read. Right now I am reading 'The Fault In Our Stars' by John Green. Its a beautiful book! Look out for my review on it.

(yes two posts in one day! Aren't you lucky.)

A quick hello

Aloha!

So in my last post I said I was going to the zoo.. Well sadly it didn't happen. My family and I went to the zoo as it was $2 per entry. Its normally about $20, so we knew we had to go! We were all so excited.. When we arrived we noticed the line went for about two kilometres, along with hundreds of people. It was crazy! By then it was already 2pm and the zoo closed at 5pm, so even if we waited in the line, we wouldn't have  had enough time to enjoy it. Instead we said we will go back another time. (depending on the weather, gah!) We then went to a cute little cafe (not sure of the name, sorry) in a place called Scorcher Bay (not that the weather was scorching!)

Here are some photos of what I wore and where we went ~

The weather wasn't great.

My IDK I JUST LOVE BRITISH YOUTUBES top, my amazing friend Shannon (http://shannon-fitzgerald.blogspot.co.nz/) got it made for me. At some time I will write a post on my favourite youtubers and why.

The food at this lovely cafe.

So thats that!
